The Educated Wrestler Society (referred to as “TEWS”) will pay two, three or four scholarships to high school wrestlers in British Columbia who are graduating from grade 12. The amount of each award will vary from $500 to $1,000, depending on the number and quality of the responses. Similar awards have been given for several years. Although originally restricted to specific schools, in the 2013/14 school year the award was opened up to a broader range of students throughout the province. The next awards will be given out to wrestlers graduating in June 2017.
Information on who should apply and how to apply will be given to coaches in April, 2017.
